Points For Consideration
Americans lean toward regulations, not economical markets independently, as the best way to increase reliance on renewable energy. But we are evenly split on the question of whether fewer regulations can be used to protect water and air.
One consistent theme from the public’s views about these issues is that Americans as a whole support giving priority to both environmental and economic dimensions of energy .
Keeping consumer energy prices low, and reducing dependence on foreign energy sources, is a common theme. There are largely predictable partisan differences in the public’s answers on the majority of these energy and environment problems. In a few cases there are no divides between partisan groups or only modest ones, including wind power.
- What are your favorite energy sources, and why?
- How do your energy values differ from your friends and family?
- Do you believe one is better than another, or do they all have a place at the table (… and I don’t mean family members 😉 [wink wink])
